The X have announced a new album: Tobacco & Fiction out August 2 via Fat Possum. The full one follows in 2020 Alphabetland and is billed as the Los Angeles punk group's final album. Watch the music video for the new album's lead single, “Big Black X,” below.
Along with their latest album, X announced a farewell tour. Performances begin in July and run through October. Check out X's tour dates below.
X reconvened in 2020 for Alphabetlandtheir first new album since 1993 Hello Jupiter! and first with the group's original line-up since 1985 Ain't Love Grand! Original X members—vocalist Exene Cervenka, singer/bassist John Doe, guitarist Billy Zoom, and drummer DJ Bonebrake—also Tobacco & Fictionworking again with Alphabetland produced by Rob Schnapf.
