Beyoncé took the field in her hometown of Houston to play the halftime show during one of the first NFL Christmas games to be streamed live on Netflix. At NRG Stadium—as the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens took a break from game action—he played Cowboy Carter cuts, beginning with “16 chariots,” as he rode upon a white horse. She then did 'Blackbird', with Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell and Tiera Kennedy, before moving on to 'Ya Ya' and Renaissance“My house.”
Beyoncé kept on bringing Cowboy Carter to life by bringing in high-profile guests Shaboozey (for “Sweet ★ Honey ★ Buckiin”) and Post Malone (“Levii's Jeans”), before launching into “Jolene” and “Texas Hold'Em,” dancing with her daughter, Blue Ivy, during the last song. Beyoncé is a partner of the NFL adjuster. In 2013, with her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, she played the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in New Orleans. He also performed at halftime of Super Bowl 50, in Santa Clara, California, in 2016. In addition, Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z, and his Roc Nation label announced an NFL partnership in 2019 and have produced every Super Bowl performance half time from 2020.
Beyoncé announced her new album in February during the Super Bowl LVIII show. She also shared her first two singles, “Texas Hold'Em” and “16 Carriages.” The musician later revealed the album's title, Cowboy Carterand released it on March 29. Beyoncé recently scored 11 nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards for Cowboy Carter and his traces. She will be seeking her first win for album of the year, while also competing for country, Americana, pop and rap awards.
