Waka Flocka Flame is riding with Donald Trump this presidential election. While performing in Utah earlier this week, the “No Hands” rapper ordered supporters of President Joe Biden to leave his concert.
“All you Joe Biden voters, get out of my concert,” he said while on stage. “We'll see you all at the bingo game. We're going to party now for the T24 queen mother president!”
The statement drew mixed reactions from the crowd before Waka overcame the awkwardness and proceeded to perform his anthemic “Grove St. Party”.
Waka Flocka Flame's footage went viral and drew backlash from some fans on X. “We need a study on why older rappers are starting to use their platform to be loud and wrong,” wrote one person.
Another quipped: “Can Waka quote one thing from the Trump administration?”
With 2024 being an election year, the policy has been part of the pop culture conversation, with Biden and Trump facing off in a debate last week.
Waka Flocka Flame pledged allegiance to Donald Trump in October 2023 when he changed his X profile picture to one of him posing alongside 45.
The Bricksquad boss hit back at critics slamming his support for Trump in a tweet that was deleted shortly after the photo with DT was posted. “I'm not political and I don't want to talk about politics… I only respond to the people who made me and that's my fans aka THE PEOPLE… love you with every bone in my body Squaddd,” he wrote at the time.
The Trump administration is in Waka's good graces after presenting him with a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the non-profit organization Daughter of Destiny.
“Lifetime Achievement Award. I must thank my pastor/big sister, Apostle Dr. Bridget K. Outlaw who taught me and guided me on this journey, God led us through it, I am honored,” she wrote in an Instagram post in April 2021. “S/O to my president !!!”
Earlier this year, Waka Flocka's flame called on Trump to scrap Columbus Day if he returns to the Oval Office. “Dear Trump Abolish Christopher Columbus Day,” the Atlanta resident tweeted in January. “In what is called Blackman in the United States, this celebration is a spit in our faces… Thank you from Waka Flocka Flame and the People!!!”
Another rapper who ditched Biden is former supporter Cardi B. However, she promised fans that she would never join the Republican party. “I will never be a republican lol,” he assured X earlier this week.
President Biden's dismal performance in the June 27 debate against Trump drew criticism from the Democratic Party, and some politicians are even calling for him to drop out of the presidential race.
