While the lyrical battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar may have subsided, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith said their battle is over.
TDE CEO Insists Drake And Kendrick's Rap Battle Is Over
Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith says the lyrical battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is officially over. On Friday (May 10), Tiffith took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and expressed his gratitude and relief that their lyrical back-and-forth is over.
“This battle is over. A victory for civilization while we hold it all together,” he wrote in his post, which you can see below. “Especially when these publications try to make it something else. We proved them wrong. That's a win in itself. On another note, it's time to wrap up this TDE 20 year anniversary collection.”
There's no word on whether Tiffith has actually spoken with the former TDE artist, who left the famed West Coast label in 2021. However, some fans aren't sure if their lyrical feud is truly over. Other people still have questions after their rap battle.
“Finally?? How?? He really put in information? There are so many unanswered questions.” one fan wrote.
Another person stated: And now it's too early, we can't let rap end this much, unless there's a dope diss album coming up.
Time will tell if their lyrical feud is truly over.

Jay Rock confirms TDE compilation album with Black Hippy Drops this year
Along with Tiffith's release, fans were especially interested in TDE's 20th anniversary album.
Last December, TDE artist Jay Rock confirmed to The Associated Press that a compilation album was in the works. In a short video, which can be seen below, the Los Angeles rhymer added that Black Hippy will appear on the project.
Black Hippy is a hip-hop supergroup formed in 2008, consisting of TDE death spitters Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar.
“I know we're doing a compilation album. TDE for twenty years,” Jay explained. “It's been 20 years since TDE was in the game, so we're preparing a compilation album.”
“So we should drop it at the top of the year,” he continued. “I don't know how many songs we're going to put on there, but we got the majority of Black Hippy on that song.”
“So be sure to check it out everyone. It's on the way, a TDE compilation album,” he concluded.
