This song marked a major departure for Amirah, who usually improvises in the booth. “Usually, I don't write lyrics – I just go in and sing whatever comes to mind. But with this song, we sat down, listened to the guitar, and I knew it had to be about something real.” Inspired by feelings of neglect and the need for self-determination, she wrote lyrics that affirm her resilience: “I wanted to say, 'I'll keep climbing. you're doing what you have to, but I'm going to stay focused on me.”

Reflecting on the finished product, Amira's initial exhaustion turned to pride. “After singing the same lines so many times, I needed a break,” she laughs. However, the next day, her manager's words—”You know this is fire, right?” — and Mustard's praise ignited a sense of accomplishment. “Listening to it, I thought, 'Okay, Amira, you've done this,'” she says, acknowledging that she had created something really resonant.
