Some five years after splitting up, Pains of Being Pure at Heart have announced a reunion tour to celebrate the anniversary of their self-titled debut. Shows take place in Spain and Portugal in February and March 2025. See tour dates below.
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart founder and frontman Kip Berman noted that next year's concerts will feature keyboardist and vocalist Peggy Wang, drummer Kurt Feldman and guitarist Christoph Hochheim performing live together for the first time time since 2012. He added that Eddy Marshall will fill in for bassist Alex Naidus, who is unable to make the tour due to “(very) personal things”.
Pains of Being Pure at Heart will play their debut, as well as additional songs from that time period, in full during the trek. “I don't know if we'll be doing more (or less) of this in the future,” Berman wrote. “But for now, we're all excited to have this opportunity to be together and play these songs that have literally changed our lives.”
Berman announced the breakup of the band in November 2019, ending their decade of touring. He continued to release music under his solo moniker, Natvral, with his latest album, Summer of No Lightlanding last September.
