United Masters extended the existing synchronization agreement with the National Football League (NFL) through the end of the 2027 season. The deal will expand UnitedMasters' existing track delivery, allowing the NFL to continue to provide music to its fans at games and throughout NFL programming through UnitedMasters' fully curated sync library. Through the deal, members of NFL Clubs will have the opportunity to explore additional licensing packages, allowing them to create “hyperlocal experiences,” according to a press release.
Warner Music India made a minority investment in the India-based live entertainment and ticketing platform SkillBoxwhich has worked on tours for Jacob Collier, Steve Vai, Ben Howard and others and established intellectual properties such as Bloomverse, K-Wave, Lemonade and LiveBox. “By integrating live events and ticketing into its portfolio, Warner Music India will enable its artists to reach a wider audience, while fans will benefit from enhanced, memorable live music experiences,” it said in a press release. SkillBox, which also has an artist management arm called LevelHouse, has 1.5 million users.
Music Licensing Company Soundstripe works with Orpheum, Coordinated Global, Musical references and Kyanite to create a click-to-license platform for the music business that will offer pre-cleared music, with a full release expected in the spring of 2025. “Through these partnerships, Soundstripe connects multiple licensing elements, which they have been separate for a long time, ”said in a press release. Orfium's SyncTracker product will ensure that all licensed music is cleared when a video is published on platforms including YouTube, while Tuned Global will handle content delivery and asset management on the recording side and Music Reports will cover the of the publication. Meanwhile, Cyanite's AI technology will allow Soundstripe to tag and search for music at scale.
