There is one Abbott Elementary coloring book that will be released later this year and is going viral online thanks to a post by one of the show's stars. On Friday (June 21), Emmy winner Sheryl Lee Ralph posted photos of the coloring book to X with the caption, “@Scholastic Your new favorite summer coloring book.”
The post has received over 16,000 likes and 3,000 retweets.
It's designed for ages 7-10, but there's a good chance adult fans of the show will want a copy. The 90-page coloring book features original fan-favorite illustrations Abbott Elementary characters including Janine, Ava, Barbara, Melissa, Jacob, Gregory and Mr. Johnson. The book, illustrated by Chelen Ecija, includes quotes from the show such as “Don't tell me what kind of day I'm having,” “Abbott is a special place” and “This is a classroom, not a performance booth.”
The coloring book is available for pre-order at Walmart, Amazon, Target, Barnes & Noble and Thrift Books.
Created by Quinta Brunson and starring, Abbott Elementary centers on a group of Philadelphia teachers (and a principal). The ensemble cast includes Tyler James Williams, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, Janelle James and William Stanford Davis.
Abbott Elementary is on hiatus for the summer and the coloring book will likely be released before the new season arrives.
Season 3 of Abbott Elementary concluded in May after another successful run for the series, whose third season premiered to over 5.9 million viewers across TV and streaming platforms.
