Clancy marks the fourth set of top 10 charts for Twenty One Pilots. The band had previously visited the area with Scaled and frozen (No. 3 in 2021), Trench (No. 2, 2018) and Blurry face (No. 1, 2016).
The new album spawned the single “Overcompensate,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Alternative Airplay chart in May, marking the act's 16th top 10 charting song. The track also peaked at No. 64 on the all-genre, multi-metric Billboard Hot 100 in March. The new album was announced on February 29 as the final chapter in the band's concept series that began with Blurry face.
