About two fifteen weeks after Taylor Swift's first drop Department of Tormented Poets The lead single gets a makeover.
The 34-year-old pop star teamed up with Canadian DJ BLOND:ISH to release a club-ready remix of “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone Wednesday (May 22). The revamped version speeds up Swift's moody original, adding a danceable beat and electronic flourishes.
“Blondie just dropped the #FortnightBLONDISHRemix and it's coded so 'now you're in the club,'” Taylor Nation tweeted after the remix was released.
The remastered track comes nearly a month after “Fortnight” — which was originally mixed by Jack Antonoff — was released alongside the rest of Tormented Poets31 songs, after which the Posty-assisted single spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The full-length album recently reached its fourth week atop the Billboard 200.
Swift is currently in the middle of the European leg of her Eras world tour, where she recently premiered the brand new Tormented Poets mini sets at her shows in Paris. In addition to “Fortnight,” the updated setlist includes “Down Bad,” “So High School,” “But Daddy I Love Him,” “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “Who's Afraid of My Little Girl?”
After completing three concerts in Stockholm over the weekend, the 14-time Grammy winner will travel to Lisbon on Friday (May 24) and Saturday (May 25). He'll spend the rest of the summer touring Europe before returning to the US and Canada for a second North American leg this fall.
