SZA loves Billie Eilish's Hit with hard and soft.
The “Kill Bill” singer took to X on Monday (June 3) to gush about Eilish's third studio album, which arrives May 17. “Billie went crazy. This album is great,” SZA wrote.
Produced as usual by the pop star's brother and longtime collaborator Finneas, the 10-track set marks Eilish's third studio LP, following 2019's When we all fall asleep, where do we go? and of 2021 Happier than everwhich both spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. No singles preceded the project, with the 22-year-old singer telling fans at the time of the announcement: “I want to give it to you right now. ”
On the Billboard 200 chart dated June 1, Hit with hard and soft debuted at No. 2.
“Every time you put anything out, you feel like your bare bones have leaked a little bit,” the nine-time Grammy winner told Apple Music's Zane Lowe about the album. “I think that's just the way it is. Something that Phineas and I said to a few people when we started playing it for people was that we made the album that if someone had said, “I want you to make an album and nobody's going to listen to it. You don't have to worry about anyone's ears or opinions or anything at all. It's in your contract to make an album but nobody can listen to it.' We pretty much made this album. We made this album without thinking too much about others.”
