The Postal Service has shared a new remix of 2003's Sylvan Esso Quit cut 'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight'. The update arrives ahead of the Postal Service's extensive co-headlining tour with Death Cab for Cutie, celebrating their anniversaries Quit and Transatlanticism. Check out the revamped track below.
“'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight' was a formative song for both of us,” Sylvan Esso revealed in a press release, adding that the duo's Nick Sanborn first caught a promo version of the track “squirming from the his car speakers while delivering. pizza.” Amelia Randall Meath, meanwhile, was introduced to it “in the back of someone's van during lunchtime for the first time.”
Of the new remix, The Postal Service's Jimmy Tamborello said: “I love Sylvan Esso and was excited to hear the song through their ears. It turned out so good, big and neat and fun!”
