His world Esoteric is expanding with a second season this fall, and Stray Kids, Twenty One Pilots and other artists are coming along for the ride.
As exclusively announced by Riot Games and Virgin Music Group with Bulletin board on Thursday (September 12), the animated series inspired by League of Legends The game will feature a soundtrack filled with A-list artists. In addition to the K-pop boy band and the American pop-rock duo — who recorded singles called “Come Play” and “The Line,” respectively — Young Miko, King Princess, Stromae, Marcus King, Ashnikko, d4vd, Sheryl Lee Ralph and more, all contributed to the album.
“We are very passionate about Esoteric and League of LegendsStray Kids said in a band statement. “Our single 'Come Play' has a dynamic flavor, bringing all kinds of voices and languages together. We enjoy playing Linkand we're excited for fans to hear this song and see its second season Esoteric!”
TØP's Tyler Joseph added that he was inspired to join the project after watching its first season Esotericpraising how “the idea of family and who can make your family” was a central theme of the show.
Its second season is expected to arrive in November Esoteric comes three years after the series originally premiered on Netflix in 2021. Focused on Legends characters Vi and Jinx — voiced by Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell — Esoteric picked up four of the five Emmy nominations it received in 2022, including outstanding animated program.
Last season also featured an army of major artists on its soundtrack, including Imagine Dragons, Pusha T, Sting, Bea Miller, Denzel Curry and more. According to one release, the album has amassed more than 5.6 billion worldwide streams to date.
