Special Interest returns with new song “Nothing Grows Here”. Ruth Mascelli of the New Orleans band mixed the track and it was mastered by Kassian Troyer. Check out the song's visualiser, created by guitarist Maria Elena, below.
Special Interest singer Alli Logout said in a press statement that the group's new track is about “stagnation, overstaying your welcome, and the moment you decided to face your complacency.” He continued, “It's about opening yourself up to feel the earth dying beneath your feet. How do we stand and what do we stand for? It's a song about flipping right now. The next step? A call to arms.”
Earlier this summer, Logout and DJ and producer Margo XS released two songs from their duo deBasement: “Front Left Speaker” and “FTDJ (Thank God).”
