SESAC Music Group has acquired software and media services company HAAWK, which specializes in copyright management and monetization of indie music, film, television and video catalogs.
HAAWK (Helping All Assets With Knowledge) offers full management of YouTube's Content ID system and Facebook's rights management platforms, including Instagram. HAAWK will also operate alongside Audio Salad as part of SESAC Music Group's Artist and Label Distribution Services arm of Music Services.
HAAWK will remain headquartered in Los Angeles under his leadership Ryan Bornwho founded the company in 2017. The move follows other recent acquisitions by SESAC, including the acquisition of Music Services and Audio Salad in 2023 and Audiam in 2021.
