His 50th season Saturday Night Live begins Sept. 28, and NBC has announced the hosts and musical guests for the first five episodes of the season.
First up, Saturday 28th, host Jean Smart and musical guest Jelly Roll. They both make their own Saturday Night Live debut.
Then on October 5, comedian Nate Bargatze returns as host and Coldplay are the musical guests. Bargatze made his debut as a host in October last year in an episode with the Foo Fighters. Coldplay were also on Saturday Night Live last year, playing 'The Astronaut' and 'Fix You' in February.
On October 12, Ariana Grande returns Saturday Night Live just a few months after that Eternal Sunshine songs in the program. This time, though, she'll be hosting—something she hasn't done since 2016. The musical guest that night will be Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks, who last appeared on the show in 1983.
Michael Keaton will host the October 19 episode and join him Saturday Night Live regular Billie Eilish, who most recently appeared on the NBC schedule in December 2023.
Finally, ex Saturday Night Live Writer John Mulaney is the host of the November 2nd episode. The musical guest that night will be headliner Chappell Roan.
