Sabrina Carpenter scores her first No. 1 Advertising signon the Pop Airplay chart — and any radio-based ranking — with “Feather.”
The song tops the April 6 survey with a 7% gain in March 22-28 projects, according to Luminate.
The single, released on Island/Republic Records, previously became Carpenter's second Pop Airplay top 10, after “Nonsense” reached No. 10 in May 2023. It scored the first of her seven charting songs on the chart with “Thumbs” in 2017.
“Feather,” which Carpenter co-wrote with Amy Allen and the song's producer John Ryan, is from the deluxe edition, out in March 2023, of Carpenter's album Email I can't send. The set debuted at a high of No. 23 – Carpenter's best charting – on the July 2022 Billboard 200 and has earned 639,000 equivalent album units to date.
“It's a great honor to have my first one [airplay] No. 1 for 'Feather,' which is such a special song to me,” says Carpenter Advertising sign. “It's rare to see tracks on a luxury album impact fans the way 'Feather' has, so I feel incredibly grateful.”
The track also became Carpenter's first top 40 hit on the all-genre multimetric Billboard Hot 100, peaking at a new No. 26 best on the most recently released chart dated March 30.
Carpenter supported Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour for 30 dates from August to March 9. “I get to play a set that I'm really comfortable with and then watch one of the best performers every night,” he said recently. Cosmopolitan of opening performances for Swift. “It makes me want to tour the world again, which is a good feeling.”
Carpenter will then play Coachella (April 12 and 19) and Governors Ball (June 8).
