A number of RuPaul's Drag Race The queens are coming for Missouri politician Valentina Gomez after a homophobic parody of the Olympics she posted on social media.
“These f–ts should get their own f–t class, because before, if a man hit a woman, it sent him to jail. Now, it brings you a gold medal in the Olympics,” Gomez — who is running for secretary of state in Missouri — said in her video, referring to Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who is competing in the Paris Olympics after previously being disqualified from hosting the 2023 world championship after failing a gender-indeterminate qualification test. “These are the worst Olympics in history. They have mocked Christianity and women. Let me remind you, there is no such thing as a chick with a dick. Keep women's sports women's.'
According to Associated Press, Khelif's passport shows she was assigned female at birth, “which is the International Olympic Committee's cutoff for boxing eligibility.” The IOC has banned the International Boxing Union from recognizing the sport as the world body in 2023 due to its failure to complete governance, funding and ethics reforms.
“If you had to wax your upper lip and eyebrows properly. No wonder you're bitter,” superstar Drag Race Season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio responded to Gomez's clip, according to Entertainment Weekly. Gomez has since blocked Del Rio on social media.
“GIRL F— YOU! WITH LECTURES A– B—-”, All the stars Season eight finalist Kandy Muse added. Shea Coulee, All the stars winner of season five, who also called Gomez “a clown and a loser.”
