Vinyl releases from Noah Kahan, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, MF Doom and The Beatles were among the top sellers of Record Store Day (RSD) Black Friday 2024 in the US, according to data tracking firm Luminate.
The indie record store celebration, held the day after Thanksgiving (November 29) is a partner celebration of the main Record Store Day boom that traditionally occurs each year in April. Both events fuel the release of many unique and limited edition music releases, mostly vinyl pressings, available only at participating independent record stores. More than 150 titles were scheduled for release for the RSD Black Friday 2024 festivities.
