Musicians and Converse make a perfect pair. From Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani and Olivia Rodrigo to Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg, recording stars have faithfully worn Chuck Taylors for years.
Charli XCX is another Converse fan and the latest musician to join forces with the shoe brand. “I wear my chucks so much they have holes in them, so I was really excited to work with Converse so I could get a new pair. They are iconic,” Charlie said in a statement announcing the partnership on Friday (October 25).
Charli joins Converse alongside other recording artists like Tyler, The Creator, Billie Eilish and Lamar's pgLang. Over the years, Converse has released music-based collaborations, including Blondie, Curt Cobain and AC/DC and Metallica Chuck Taylors. Converse's creative family also includes Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alexis Sablone, Rick Owens and Isabel Marant.
Kicking off her new collaboration, Charli stars in Converse's 2024 holiday campaign, which showcases her love of shoes. Shot by photographer Sharna Osborne, the campaign features the “360” singer surrounded by Chuck Taylors. More details on Charli's Converse collaboration will be revealed in the coming months.
In other Charli news, the British singer has released her Brat remix album on October 11 with appearances from Ariana Grande, Eilish, Troy Sivan, Addison Rae, Lorde and more. On Monday, he wrapped up the Sweet Tour with Sivan at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena. Charli then returns to the UK and later Australia for the international leg of her world tour. Get tickets here.
