Ice Spice sparks fat-shaming accusations on social media
On Friday (Feb. 2), the gossip website Ken Barbee Posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, was a comment from a fan who criticized Ice Spice's performance video of “Think U The S**t (Fart)” at Spotify's Best New Artist event in Los Angeles. “Either let her work with someone who can help with her acting and stage presence or send her back to the Bronx. Pls,” the fan wrote.
Ice Spice caught wind of her person's harsh criticism and responded with a subtle tweet about her appearance. In her since-deleted post, the Bronx rapper shared an image of the person's photo and captioned it, “While we're constructive-.”
Ice Spice's post prompted hundreds of people to defend the person the rapper indirectly dissed. Many fans accused Ice Spice of shaming and bullying.
“It's weird to shame a BEAUTIFUL black woman during black history month,” one person wrote.
Another fan added: “Honestly it's Yall's fault for gassing her up and making her famous. Put her back where she was camming until she learns how to be a proper artist.”
A third user typed “Yes, her [Ice Spice] she gave me ick tryna come for shawtys looks like she's not gorgeous.”
Overall, fans were not happy with Ice Spice's applause on social media.

Ice Spice is dropping her debut album this year
Despite criticism from the world, Ice Spice plans to release her debut album in 2024. In her interview with Today show with Honda and Jennathe “Deli” rhymer revealed that she will release her full-length studio project this year but did not give a specific date.
“Yes, there will be an album this year,” said Ice. “This year, I'm so excited. It's called Y2K. It's almost over. Well, I'm really excited.”
Ice also revealed that the title of the album is based on her date of birth, which is January 1, 2000. She also revealed that she has a “crazy collaboration” but was tight-lipped about who the artist is.
