Olivia Rodrigo celebrates the release of her new concert film.
During its premiere Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour in Los Angeles on Friday (October 25), the 21-year-old pop star walked the red carpet in support of her upcoming film, which filmed two shows at LA's Intuit Dome in August.
The singer-songwriter who graces his new cover Bulletin boardtake some time to reflect on it Guts World Tour movie, reminisce about her recent ones Bulletin board photoshoot and talk about the support he's received from friends like fellow musician Chappell Roan, who was in attendance at Friday's premiere.
“I love all my friends who make music and it was so sweet that some of them came to support me. It means the world,” Rodrigo said Billboard NewsTetris Kelly.
Other stars in attendance at the Los Angeles event included singer-songwriter Laufey, actress Xochitl Gomez and alt-pop artist Remi Wolf.
Asked what kind of advice she has given Roan, who has been open about her mental health issues, Rodrigo said: “He really gives me so much advice about taking care of myself and being in an industry that is so overwhelming at times . I appreciate her very much. If I give her any advice, I'm not so sure. But I get a lot from her.”
Rodrigo also reflected on the photo shoot for her recent photo shoot Bulletin board cover. “It was incredible. We shot the entire cover right before a show. I was worried, “Like I don't have much time,” but I love pictures. It turned out great. Your team killed it, thank you,” the “Vampire” singer said.
Guts World Tour premieres on Netflix on Tuesday (October 29). The film chronicles Rodrigo on her journey in support of her second album, Intestineswhich debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2023. Over the past year, the Guts World Tour has traveled through North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
“I never got to watch the Guts World Tour,” Rodrigo said on the red carpet. “It's a really fun experience and I just love everyone involved in the show so much — the whole band and all my dancers. I'm a big fan of them, so I watched it admiring them the whole time.”
And what's her favorite part in the new concert film? “I'm so excited that everyone is watching 'All-American B—-,'” she said. “That was my favorite to play.”
