As teases, the Gallagher brothers are back. After rumors in early 2023 that they were planning a series of reunion shows, Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed today that Oasis will embark on the first leg of their Oasis Live '25 tour next July, starting with a run of shows at United Kingdom. and Ireland. The trek will mark the brothers' first tour together since the band's bitter split in 2009. Speaking of the seismic news, Oasis said in a press release: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The long wait is over. Come and see. It will not be televised.” Find their itinerary below.
Oasis broke up in 2009 when Noel Gallagher left the band because he “simply couldn't go on working with Liam one more day”. Noel had left before after fights with Liam, sometimes on stage, but this one stuck. In 2011, Liam sued Noel for defamation and there were few murmurs of a reunion until 2017, when Liam and Noel were said to be reuniting at a benefit concert, in Manchester, for the victims of the Ariana Grande concert bombing. In the end, Noel skipped the show and then another rumored appearance at Grande's One Love Manchester concert. Liam apologized for his brother's absence. “Noels out of the fucking country,” he wrote. “Weren't we all dear, getting on a fucking plane and playing your tunes for the kids you feel sorry for?”
In 2020, Liam urged Noel to reunite for charity when the COVID-19 pandemic was over, but his brother again postponed. Noel fronted Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, whose latest album is 2023 Heavens of the Council. Liam fronted the band Beady Eye, but they broke up in 2014. His own solo career began with the 2017 album As You Were; his last one is from 2022 Come on you know.
