After a four-year hiatus, Nathy Peluso will return with her third studio album Grease on May 24, he announced on Thursday (May 2). To mark the occasion, the Argentinian-Spanish rapper and singer made a surprise appearance at Prince Street Pizza in New York, serving up slices of the restaurant's famous greasy pizza.
“Who wants Grease!” shouted the artist as she served her eager fans.
In a recent conversation with Billboard Español, the rapper spoke about the album's title, saying “I started looking for words that would wrap me in what I wanted to convey, which ultimately is something rough, something powerful. The word grasa it came from a feeling and I also wanted a word that had multiple meanings, that people could take the word into their own.”
The album announcement was preceded by her latest single, “JET_Set.mp3”, featuring Argentinian singer Emilia, which was released in January this year. Grease is the next 2020 pandemic album released Calabria.
Before announcing Grease, Nathy Peluso made an exciting surprise appearance on April 27 with Colombian superstar Karol G at Velez Sarsfield Stadium in Buenos Aires during Karol's Latin American tour. Together, they performed “Gato Malo” from Karol's 2021 album KG056. “He invited me to play in Buenos Aires, which means a lot to me, and we had never played [the song] live together and it was extremely special,” he adds.
