Beyond the game itself, NFL ratings were boosted in part by Swift, who appeared in the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens season opener and has appeared in other games, including the Chiefs vs. MNF game last month and one game in early November.
NFL ratings hit another high this past Thanksgiving weekend. To kick off the collaboration, NFL debuted a remix of Balvin's song “DOBLEXXO” featuring Feid from his new album. Rayo.
“ESPN's music curation program with Monday night football continues with an artist who will reinforce the bold and new music strategy,” said Curtis Friends, ESPN's vice president of sports marketing. “J Balvin is a global icon whose influence cuts across cultures and genres. His musical choices embrace the anticipation and excitement that ESPN's football season brings, and we look forward to having him join us throughout the season.”
