Linkin Park have announced their first new studio album since May 2017 One more light. The new album, From scratchwill be released on November 15 via Warner. The band also shared a new song, “The Emptiness Machine,” which lands with a music video directed by Joe Hahn. Find it below.
From scratch is Linkin Park's first new album since the July 2017 death of lead singer Chester Bennington. The band still has original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and Joe Hahn, joined by new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong and new drummer Colin Brittain.
Linkin Park haven't performed since a Bennington tribute show at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2017. They'll kick off their From Zero World tour next week. See the band's schedule below.
After Bennington's death, Mike Shinoda released solo albums Post-traumatic and Dropped frames. He also won a Grammy Award for a remix of Deftones' “Passenger”. Discussing the band's new effort in a press release, Shinoda said:
