Lil Durk has pleaded not guilty to federal criminal charges related to an alleged murder-for-hire scheme, Rolling Stone exhibitions. He is tentatively scheduled to stand trial in California on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Durk, who is in federal custody in Los Angeles, has also delayed the release of his new album, Deep Thoughtswhich was due to arrive this fall.
Durk was arrested last month and charged with conspiracy to use interstate facilities to commit a hit-and-run killing resulting in death. He also faces two additional weapons-related charges.
Prosecutors allege that Lil Durk and five other men allegedly associated with the rapper's collective Only the Family (OTF) tried to kill rapper Quando Rondo in revenge for the killing of King Von. Durk, according to the federal government's indictment, masterminded the murder-for-hire scheme and made it clear that he would pay a reward to kill Quando Rondo. An attempted shooting at Quando Rondo resulted in the death of the cousin of Georgia rapper Savaya Tilal “Lul Pub” Robinson, prosecutors say.
