Lil Baby is feeling something about Kendrick Lamar and Gunna right now.
Lil Baby Talks About Kendrick Lamar Name-Drop and Gunna's Relationship
Lil Baby is currently on a press tour for his upcoming album WHAMwhich is scheduled to drop next month. The Atlanta rapper recently sat down for an interview with Charlamagne Tha God's Out of context podcast, which premiered on Wednesday (December 18), but has since been taken down. During the conversation, Baby is asked about the elephant in the room: The current state of his relationship with Gunna.
“We have no relationship,” Baby replies in the video clip below. A rift has seemingly formed between the former frequent collaborators following Gunna's plea deal in the YSL RICO case in December 2022. This is the first time Baby has addressed the issue directly.
When asked if Young Thug asked him to be on a song with Gunna what his response would be, Baby says, “I don't see that happening…I don't know what anybody else is going to do. But as far as I .. .”
Fans thought Baby interrupted Gunna on her 2023 song “350.” Baby blames online speculation.
“It's just the internet, what they're going to create,” he adds. “I've talked about rats in every song I've had since I started rapping. They just create a narrative. I wasn't even talking about an*gga. It's whoever a rat is.”
Baby doesn't seem to be feeling Kendrick Lamar's moves as it pertains to Baby's relationship with Drake. Rapper Quality Control is featured on K-Dot's “Not Like Us” with the line: “Lil Baby helped you lift your tongue.”
“I'm not really into that side of hip-hop,” Baby says of the reference. He confirmed that he and Drake have a great relationship, adding: “If you and him were fighting why the hell did you leave tell me [name]?”

Except his own WHAM The album drops on January 3, 2025, Lil Baby also revealed in an interview with Lil Yachty's A safe place podcast that a second album will be released in February titled Dominic after his name.
“I still put in some of the songs I was going to use for Dominic on WHAM,” he reveals around the 1:30 mark of the interview below. “I know my fans really want specific songs for them. But I feel like WHAM it's more like me on some young n*gga sh*t…Dominic it's more like the serious me.”
