Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars share video for new song 'Die With a Smile': Watch

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars join forces for new single 'Die With a Smile'. They also shared a vintage video directed by Daniel Ramos and Mars himself. In it, he and Gaga play country in a room set up like a hybrid of a 1950s recording studio and TV show set. Check it out below.

In a press release, Gaga notes that her own album is almost finished. She says about the collaboration:

Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and we were talking about working together. I was finishing my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to listen to something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was surprised to hear what he had started making. We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno's talent cannot be explained. His musicianship and vision is next level. There is no one like him.

Mars adds: “Working with Gaga was an honor. It's a picture and it makes this song magical. I'm so excited for everyone to hear it.”

Gaga teased the track via Instagram yesterday (August 15), sharing a photo of herself and Mars decked out in blue and red. “While you wait until LG7…” he wrote.

Lady Gaga's latest single was 'Hold My Hand', the theme song for the 2022 action Top Gun: Maverick. She has since performed at the 2023 Oscars and the 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and has resumed her wildly popular Residency in Las Vegas. Her sixth bodysuit, Chromaticaarrived in 2020.

On October 4, Gaga will appear as Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips Joker continuity, Joker: Folie à Deuxalongside Joaquin Phoenix in the title role.

Bruno Mars' latest musical venture is Silk Sonic—his project with Anderson .Paak. They released their debut LP An evening with Silk Sonic in 2021.
