Kodak Black Says He Regrets Famous Fake Percocet Line On “Super Gremlin.” He also admits that he used to pop 100 pills a day.
Kodak Black Admits to Drug Abuse After 'Super Gremlin' Reveals Fake Percocet Line Isn't True
On Friday (June 28), footage from a recent Kodak Black concert made the rounds online. In the clip, the South Florida rhymer admits that a popular line, “I knew the Perc was fake, but I still ate it,” from his 2022 platinum hit, “Super Gremlin,” wasn't based on the truth. After expressing a sense of regret for delivering the verse about consuming a fake Percocet, he also reveals that he once abused the prescription drug to a level that was more than excessive.
“It's sad though, bruh, because it's like… The bar just came to mind so quickly,” Yak explains in the video below about his spitting line in his song. I'm like, “Damn, I don't want to say this, but I know this is going to go in.” But we won't play like that, bro.”
Kodak then lets the crowd know exactly how many pills he was taking at the height of his Percocet use. Along the way, he admits that if the drugs he was taking were in fact fake, he probably wouldn't be around to tell his story. “When I was in my tent, I chewed about a hundred Percs a day, bro. If I was stuck with them, I'd be dead. I'm explaining now. I don't want you to hear this, and take it, and feel like it's okay to do that. “

Kodak Black seems to be cleaning up a bit after recent legal issues
Kodak Black's public service announcement comes as he appears to have cleaned up his act in recent months. After charges stemming from a drug possession arrest last December were completely dismissed in the spring, Yak took to Instagram Live in April to tell fans how great he feels about kicking his Percocet habit.
“I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of perk,” Yak explained at the time. “Brother, I'm proud of myself. I've never been so happy in my life.”
