In an interview on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Bush said she is “very keen” to record new music but has yet to start work on it. “I have a lot of ideas and I'm really looking forward to getting back into this creative space,” he said. “It's been a long time.” Asked about a return to performing live, she joked: “I'm not there yet.”
Bush told the BBC that she began working on the film immediately after Russia invaded Ukraine. “I wanted to make a little animation that had a little girl in it initially,” she said. “It was really the idea of children caught up in war. I wanted to draw attention to how horrible it is for children. And so I came up with this idea for a screenplay and felt that, actually, people would be more empathetic towards a creature than a human. That's how I came up with the idea of it being a bit perceptive.” The animated film was by Inkubus for the Tomato Twist production company.
