Joe Budden is defending his decision to remove a segment of his podcast discussing the disturbing Diddy assault video.
Fans are mad about Joe Budden editing the segment in the Diddy Assault video
On Saturday (May 18), Joe Budden took to X Spaces to address fans who criticized him for editing a segment for the latest The Joe Budden Podcast episode. Apparently, in the episode “Two Brands, One Stone,” Joe removed a segment that featured him and his co-hosts discussing the disturbing 2016 video showing Diddy viciously assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel Los Angeles.
A fan pointed out that the segment was removed because when the podcast was originally uploaded someone forgot to remove the Diddy timestamp from the description.
Some fans speculated that Joe's reluctance to hold the segment for Diddy's video may have stemmed from his own alleged history of domestic abuse.
“Joe Budden will never discuss this Diddy s**t and we all know why,” he wrote in the face on X.
Another person reported: “Joe Budden did a full psychological profile on Aubrey Graham for weeks, but no word on Diddy. It's not like that.”

Joe Defends Decision to Edit Podcast Segment Regarding Diddy Assault Video
While at X Spaces, Joe Budden addressed his choice to remove the segment, explaining that while the topic was important, he felt a four-minute discussion was insufficient time to do it justice.
“We were in the middle of our show when this news broke,” Joe explained in the audio clip below. “Well we talked about it for four minutes and at the end before the Sleepers [segment] We talked about it again for another four minutes and went on with our day.”
But after talking to TJBP Co-host Ꭼmanny, Joe had second thoughts and cut the segment.
“He was indifferent at the moment. He was talking for four minutes about what happened and three minutes at the end is not the attention the story needs,” said Joe. “We will make it [Wednesday’s episode].”
“I have absolutely no ties to Diddy or anyone associated with Diddy,” the podcaster added. “Yesterday was my first time seeing something like this and it was difficult to watch for many reasons.”
Joe Budden further explained that he is not afraid to address any subject on his show and has the right to edit out parts he feels should not be made public. The podcast king also advised disgruntled fans to get off social media and engage in real life activities outside of the digital world.
