The original Jane's Addiction lineup of Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery returned to the studio for a new song, “Imminent Redemption” – their first together in 34 years. “It's different this time,” the band said in a press release “Having everyone back together, releasing new music. It's time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane's Addiction. The 'imminent redemption' is only the beginning.” Listen to the single below.
The return to the studio follows this year's announcement of the band's first classic line-up tour since 2010. That run, which began in Europe — where “Imminent Redemption” debuted — comes to North America in September. Jane's Addiction's last album was The Great Escape Artistin 2011, but the new material marks the original line-up's first since the 1990s Ritual de lo Habitual.
