I. Jordan have announced their debut album. I'm Jordan out May 10 via Ninja Tune. “Real Hot n Naughty” leads off the LP and features a vocal turn from actor and rapper Felix Mufti, who Sexual education Fans will recognize him as It Boy Roman. In the video, Jordan and Mufti are having a party at a bingo hall. watch it drop below.
Jordan said in press material: “A big part of why Felix and I bonded immediately is because of our working-class queer backgrounds, and our pride in that. Our goal with this track is to make a real queer northern dance anthem. The very working-class, northern humor is 'things are a bit crappy, but whatever. We'll take the piss.”
The album, Jordan added, “is about joy.” They continued, “It's my joy as a trans person, and trans joy in general, to work with trans people, to make all this fun music together.” The new video, they said, “connected with our upbringing and the spaces we spent a lot of time in growing up. Remaking them and reclaiming them to be full of queer and trans joy felt important and symbolic as it connected two important parts of my identity that don't often merge together. We wanted to make something fun, cute and cheeky and screw all the Tories.”
