GloRilla made an appearance at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday night, and the Memphis rapper caught up with Billboard News' Tetris Kelly on the red carpet for an interview.
Big Glo was tight-lipped when asked about her heated fling with JT on Friday after he name-dropped the City Girls rapper. Ehhthang Ehhthang track “Aite.”
“Everything just always everything,” she said when Kelly asked about JT. “At the end of the day, this day is going to be mom — in the end. Everything is everything. This day must end.”
On the Kevo Muney-assisted tune, GloRilla calls for unity between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj and clarifies that there is no beef with JT. “I just pray one day when the badass come together/ 'Cause Cardi and Nicki on a dance floor would break some records/ Me and JT ain't the best of friends, but we ain't the best either” / I know bi— es always have that they keep a secret,” raps Glo.
There was previously speculation that a physical altercation took place at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards with the City Girls star and Big Glo.
“They told me he didn't!” JT tweeted on Friday. “She went silent on the radio! He played, he released a song about slapping rap – now it's a women's unit?? BAD QUALITY.” JT added, “I guess she was waiting on her tape to address and who went viral for slapping someone when the whole hood believed it! She was on brand!”
Soon after, GloRilla confronted JT's tweets and responded, “Shut up you dumbass and fix the shapeless wigs, I said no beef hidden half.”
He continued: “Don't make me appear on one of those Backyard BBQ shows. You kinda feel like GETTING RAP BI—ES AND BAIL HO. I suppose that last run had you thinking you were only with—did I touch?'
Elsewhere in the interview, Glo also mentioned working with Megan Thee Stallion for 'Wanna Be'. “I love Megan. He is a wonderful person. She is so much fun. I taught her how to do jabs,” he hilariously said before doing a double take. “It may seem crazy, but it's true.”
