The ultimate all-American b—- kicked off the North American leg of her highly anticipated Guts World Tour on Friday (February 23) as Olivia Rodrigo took the stage at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California.
Following the release of her 2023 Billboard 200-peaking sophomore album, Offalthe newly 21-year-old superstar is now a veteran of the tour scene, and she proved it as early as the set's opening track, “Bad Idea Right?”, during which Rodrigo confidently strutted across the stage in a U-shape of a pop pro , with her distinctive vocals that didn't waver throughout the hour and a half performance.
With two albums under her belt, Rodrigo had the 11,000 fans in the crowd sharing the lyrics to every song in the career-spanning set, which included her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping ballads like Sour's hit, 'Drivers License' and her blood-sucking operatic track, 'Vampire'. She also amped up the energy with her high-energy songs like “Get Him Back!”, “All-American B—-,” “Bad Idea Right?” as well as 'Brutal', 'Deja Vu' and more.
Rodrigo will continue to perform in North America through April, where she has a pair of dates scheduled for April 5th and 6th at Madison Square Garden in New York, and then heads overseas, beginning her international dates on April 30th in Dublin of Ireland. The pop star returns to the United States with a show on July 19 in Philadelphia and concludes her world tour with two concerts at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on August 13 and 14.

There is nothing more special than a star singing his hit in an arena full of fans. Rodrigo who released “Drivers License” in 2021 was devastated and oblivious to the whirlwind three years ahead of her. Rodrigo who performed “Drivers License” in 2024, however, was clearly confident in herself and proud of how far she's come. With just a piano and her signature heartfelt vocals, the moment she performed her first mega-hit during her second sold-out tour was extra special.

During her performance Offal The final track, “Teenage Dream,” the screen behind Rodrigo played a video montage of the star as a child — dancing ballet and smiling with friends or singing into a microphone. “Everybody says it gets better, it gets better as you get older / Yeah, everybody says it gets better, it gets better, but what if I don't?” he repeated to finish the piece, before looking at the teary-eyed crowd.
Rodrigo then exited the stage as a five-year-old Rodrigo's voice played throughout the arena, declaring that she is excited for her first performance. “I dedicate this song to my friends and family,” the toddler can be heard saying, marking another moment of gratitude and physical representation of growth during the performance.
The moon
Coincidentally, it was a full moon outside the Acrisure Arena, but inside the venue, Rodrigo sat on a crescent moon and floated above the crowd for dreamy renditions of “Logical” and “Enough for You.”
“Obsessed”
of Rodrigo Offal The lavish track quickly went viral on TikTok, and as Rodrigo sang the first line of “Obsessed,” the crowd erupted into rapturous screams at the surprise set addition. At the end of the track, Rodrigo grabbed a guitar and delivered an impressive guitar solo, reinforcing the rock sound of her second album.

“For this next part, I want you to think of someone or something that really pisses you off and I want you to scream your heart out,” Rodrigo told the crowd after the song's bridge. All 11,000 people in the crowd then joined the singer in soul-suffocating screams to vent the anger, marking a hilarious and healing moment of emotion during the set.
