Fito Páez was forced to cancel his September shows in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Bogota. The acclaimed Argentinian musician announced on his social media Wednesday (September 4th) that he broke five ribs over the weekend at home.
“On Sunday morning, I had a domestic accident that resulted in five broken ribs,” Páez wrote in a statement posted on his Instagram and X accounts. “I find myself unable to face the upcoming September concerts in DF, Guadalajara and Bogotá. My whole office is rescheduling concerts for the next few months.”
The creator of hits such as 'El Amor Después Del amor', 'Yo Vengo a Ofrecer Mi Corazón' and 'Tumbas de la Gloria' added: 'Stumbling is not falling. Thank you for your patience. I love you so much!”

The affected shows are part of his El Amor Después del Amor 2024 tour. They include his free concert this Saturday (September 7) at the Zócalo in Mexico City, the country's largest and most important public square. the September 19 performance at the Auditorio Telmex in Guadalajara. and the September 21 show at the National Amphitheater in Mexico City. In Colombia, he was scheduled to perform at Cordillera Festival 2024 on September 15.
Mexico City's culture minister declined to immediately comment, but said he would issue a statement.
