In the poll — published Friday (Sept. 13) in support of New Music Latin's weekly roundup and playlist, curated Bulletin board Latin and Billboard Español editors — music fans have voted the Mexican singer's latest album as their favorite music release of the week.
In X Amor IILoaiza builds on the foundation laid by her 2023 debut, X Amor. The Mexican songstress showcases her evolving craft through an eclectic mix of genres ranging from reggaetón to mexican musicwith other unexpected styles. A standout track includes the opener, “5 Babys,” a powerful intro featuring a female lineup featuring Spanish MC Ptazeta, Mexican reggaetonera Bellakath, Argentinian lyricist Yami Safdie and Colombian rapper Fariana.
In second place is “Agora” by Maria Becerra, which gathered more than 25% of the votes. The Argentinian star takes a bold step in this song by incorporating Portuguese into her repertoire, combining genres such as bossa nova and rap. Following closely behind in third place is emerging Venezuelan artist MARI with 'Tonada del Callejero', a hypnotic blend of urban and Venezuelan llanero music, with nearly 24% of the vote.
Other new releases in the poll included Charly García La Lógica del ScorpionChino Pacas' corridos 'Otra Vez Pegue Un Vergazo', Mike Bahía's tropical pop 'La Pena' and a brand new remix EP by Nathy Peluso, Club Grasa.
