An ex-inmate who shared Diddy's prison quarters recently tells all about the music mogul's activities behind bars and the jealous groupies who make his bed.
Diddy has a group in prison
Fox 5 New York reporter Lisa Evers spoke with a former inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn where Diddy is currently incarcerated for sex crimes to get the inside scoop on what the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder does while he's confined. During the conversation, which he posted on Instagram on Nov. 9, the inmate spoke on condition of anonymity and had his voice changed for his safety and protection.
“THE FORMER INMATE WAS IN THE SAME HOUSING UNIT FOR A WHILE WITH SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS,” she captioned it. “TELLS ME DIDDY HAS STAYED POSITIVE AND TRIED TO BOOST THE SPIRITS OF THE OTHER INMATES. THIS FORMER PRISONER SPOKE TO ME ON THE CONDITION OF ANONYMITY BECAUSE OF HIS HARDWARE TO PROTECT HIS PRIVACY.”
The former inmate says Didi's energy is “super confident.” He sleeps in a dormitory with more than 20 men and is not in a cell. Didi rests his head where the police are present in a unit involving high profile cases.
To pass the time, Didi plays basketball and works out. He obviously wants people to be happy while he's at MDC. “There's one thing he does every day,” the inmate reveals. He'll walk up and say, “Smile, man.” And people will smile so it's relaxed in there.”
The man also claims that Diddy has a group in prison. “They were in a group,” describes the inmate. “He was close to him. Dudes would be jealous of another dude 'cause he was closer to another dude. If there was a guy who made his bed or did something special for him, they would hate such a guy. “
Didi had been in jail since September 16 after being arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit extortion, trafficking in sexually violent instruments, fraud or coercion and transportation for prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to the crimes. While incarcerated, there were more allegations of rape and sexual assault in lawsuits filed against him. He will remain at MDC until his trial date, which is scheduled for May 25, 2025.
