Chris Moncada has been promoted to COO at MNRK Music Group, effective immediately.
Based in Toronto, Moncada will oversee all day-to-day operations at MNRK, develop and implement business strategies and lead strategic growth initiatives with a focus on A&R, artist development and catalog development. He will work out of MNRK's New York, Nashville, Toronto and UK offices, reporting to the President/CEO of MNRK Sean Stevenson.
Following the promotion, Moncada has several new direct reports: Scott Givenssenior vice president of rock and metal. Ted MayMD UK/head of international Ian “JY” Williamssenior A&R manager; and Ben Chansynchronization manager.
Moncada joined MNRK in 2015 as GM of MNRK's label, Last Gang, after previously serving in marketing, A&R and artist services roles at both Universal and Warner Music. In 2022, his responsibilities expanded to include A&R functions across the MNRK label group, which also includes Dualtone.
“Chris has proven to be instrumental in bringing new deals through the signing process. His eye for talent, ear for songs and ability to understand both MNRK's business needs and artist concerns have been invaluable as we reshape the organization,” Stevenson said in a statement.
