Chief Keef is abruptly delaying his summer tour due to a mysterious medical emergency.
Chief Keef Pushes Back Summer Tour
On Tuesday (July 16), Chief Keef took to his Instagram Story hours before he was set to kick off his A Lil tour at Boston's MGM Music Hall at Fenway. Keef has announced that he will be suspending tour dates until later this year due to an undisclosed health issue.
“[F]or for health reasons, I am postponing the tour until later this year,” he wrote. “Be on the road soon!”
In addition, Keef sent a statement to his fans through Live Nation, saying he had been “ordered” to stay home.
“To my fans, I am very sorry to announce this, but due to a medical emergency, I have been ordered to stay home to recover, so I must postpone the tour,” the statement read. Those who bought tickets can choose to get a refund or hold it for a future date. I plan to get back on the road soon. Thank you, I love you all.”

Chief Keef Announces A Lil Tour With Lil Gnar And The Glo Boyz
Sosa announced the tour in May shortly after the release of his highly anticipated album Almighty So 2. The 16-track album features guest appearances from G Herbo, Lil Gnar, Tierra Whack, Quavo and Sexyy Red, among others. The 17-date tour was scheduled to kick off in Boston before wrapping up on August 13 at San Francisco's The Midway.
Additionally, Chief Keef celebrated the release by playing in his hometown of Chicago for the first time in over a decade. Sosa closed Lyrical Lemonade's three-day Summer Smash in Bridgeview, Ill., just outside the Windy City. The highly anticipated set was Chief Keef's first hometown performance since Lollapalooza in August 2012.
