Kygo's work has long been the musical equivalent of a beach resort, and now he and his team have created the real thing.
The Palm Tree Club is a hotel and restaurant project from Palm Tree Crew, the massive company created by Norwegian producer and manager Myles Shear. Set to open in Miami on December 21st, the property is located in the former Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill, a 150-room hotel that has been completely renovated to reflect the laid-back, tropical aesthetic of Kygo and the Palm Tree Crew.
Built in the 1970s, the building reflects the Miami Modern (or MiMo) style of architecture common to the city and South Florida in general in the post-World War II era. The hotel also features Art Deco-style rooms and also has a restaurant, 24-hour gym, 20-boat marina (so guests can cruise their boat out for dinner), and other amenities.

“Hospitality has always been at the heart of the live experiences produced by Palm Tree Crew,” says Shear Bulletin board. “We are thrilled to extend this ethos to a Palm Tree Crew venue, offering a curated year-round experience that combines exceptional hotel, dining and entertainment. Having grown up visiting Shuckers, I am excited to honor its heritage while creating a great experience for both the local community and visitors.”
The opening of the resort also marks a new expansion of the Palm Tree Crew empire, which also includes the ongoing Palm Tree Festival (which takes place in luxury locations such as the Hamptons and Aspen), along with an artist management division, a record label and other food and beverage projects.
A resort has long been part of the plan, Kygo and Shear say Bulletin board in 2022 were inspired by the late Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville empire of music, resorts, restaurants, events and other lifestyle offerings.
“It created so many areas where [his fans] he can concentrate — he doesn't even have to be at his shows. It could be at his hotel or a Margaritaville bar,” Kygo said in 2022. “That's what we're trying to create: something that's bigger than music. One community, one movement.”
Palm Tree Club Miami is a partnership between Palm Tree Crew, Miami-based Think Hospitality management company, and Miami- and New York-based real estate developer Continuum Company.
