Brat Summer is a state of mind, but in reality, the season will be over in about a month. Before she does, though, Charli XCX teases that one more surprise is on the way — and it might just involve another guest artist putting a new spin on one of her critically-acclaimed album songs.
In a TikTok posted on Wednesday (August 14), the 32-year-old pop star walks outside singing along to a fan lineup of her single '360' and Fleetwood Mac's iconic hit 'Dreams'. “I'm in Poland… there's a smell of autumn in the breeze…” he wrote in white text above the video. “Something is changing.”
“Maybe one more remix after that?” he added in the caption.
If the sound of the video is any indication of which song will be reworked next, “360” could be getting a second remix after the previously released version featuring Robyn and Yung Lean. Or, Charli could be planning to expand on any of her other ones Brat pieces, which fans followed the comments to surmise.
One person, for example, suggested that “Apple” — which has inspired one of the trendiest TikTok dances of the summer — should get a Midwest Princess twist. “apple featuring chappell roan i plead,” they wrote.
“Sympathy is a knife for Taylor,” another person predicted, likely referring to rumors that the English singer-songwriter wrote the track for Taylor Swift.
The latter isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility, given the history behind the “Girl, So Confusing” remix with Lorde. After writing the song about her strained relationship with his 'Supercut' musician, Charlie recruited her to turn it into a duet, restoring their friendship on very good terms in the process.
Other precedents Brat Remixes include “Von Dutch” featuring Addison Rae and, most recently, “Guess” featuring Billie Eilish, which debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
