Charli XCX and Yung Lean join the cast of the new film SacrificeDeadline reports. The film, directed by Romain Gavras, also stars Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek, Sam Richardson, Vincent Cassel, John Malkovich, Ambika Mod, Jade Croot, Jeremy O. Harris and Miriam Silverman. Filming is underway in Greece and Bulgaria, according to Deadline.
Yung Lean, who was the subject of the 2020 documentary Yung Lean: In My Headwill be making his feature film debut Sacrifice. He released his latest album, the collaboration Bladee Coldin March.
Charli XCX has done a lot of acting, but most of her roles are in movies and series that haven't been released yet. Beyond Sacrificeis scheduled to appear Faces of Death, I want your sex, Erupcja, 100 Nights Heroand Overcompensation. In addition, she will be the hostess and musical guest Saturday Night Live later this month.
Sacrifice is Romain Gavras' first English-language film. The Paris-born filmmaker has famously directed music videos for Jamie xx's “Gosh,” Last Shadow Puppets' “The Age of the Understatement,” Jay-Z's “No Church in the Wild,” and Kanye West; MIA's “Bad Girls.” and Justice's “Born Free,” “Stress” and more.
