Carin León and Grupo Frontera unite for their second top 10 Advertising sign'Regional Mexican Airplay chart, as “Alch Sí” jumps from No. 21 to No. 7 on the chart dated February 10. The song follows their previous top 10 hit, “Que Vuelvas,” which reached No. 1 last year.
“Alch Sí” was released Nov. 30 via Socios and reaches the top 10 on the radio chart with a strong 83% increase in audience impressions, to 4.84 million, earned during the Jan. 26-Feb. 1 week follow-up. The leap gives indie label Socios its second top 10 in the 40-deep, following León's own “Indispensable” which preceded it for three consecutive weeks in 2023.
“Alch Sí's” 14-place jump is the biggest jump of 2024 so far and the biggest gain since the Los Angeles Azules and Maria Becerra's “El Amor De Mi Vida” rallied 38-9 in the second week of last September
As “Alch Sí” reaches No. 7 on Regional Mexican Airplay, it earns both acts their 12th top 10. León's first top 10 came in 2019 with the No. 6 charting “Me Levanté” and he recently reached the top 10 with the one-week rule “Según Quién” in December 2023.
Grupo Frontera's twelve top 10s have all come consecutively, and they have yet to miss a top 10 with any chart entry. The act's first top 10 hit came with “No Se Va” in December 2022 (peaking at No. 2), and they recently visited the top 10 with “En Altavoz,” featuring Junior H, which spent two weeks at No. .1, starting in December 2023.
In addition to the strength of its regional radio in Mexico, “Alch Sí” debuts at No. 19 on the overall Latin Airplay chart, the highest debut for León among 15 entries and the highest launch for Frontera since the championship six weeks “Un X100to”, with Bad Bunny, which opened at No. 13 in May 2023.
