Popular performance series From The Block has inked a partnership deal with Sparta Distribution, the companies announced today (April 4).
Since its launch in 2021, From The Block Performance has gained traction through viral performances from Cardi B, Offset, Chris Brown, Lil Yachty and 4 Batz, amassing over 200 million views along the way. Sparta will distribute current and upcoming shows through DSPs as part of the partnership.
“Our distribution partnership means a lot to me and my team because it allows me to continue to make my resources available to musicians in all genres,” says the founder of From The Block Performance. Zae Williams. “I'm excited to see all the new artists that will grow on our platform with our new partnership with Sparta, as their track record speaks for itself and the connection is organic and shares the independent spirit.”
Distribution cooperation is beneficial for both parties. By expanding into new territories such as Japan and South Africa, From The Block will strengthen its international presence. Meanwhile, Sparta's mission extends to representing and cultivating the next generation of music entrepreneurs.
Released in 2021 by 300's Kevin Lyles and Rob Stevenson, Sparta Distribution aims to help unsigned artists with a DIY approach and offers “a seat at the table, this new distribution platform gives them their own table”. They also want to “empower independent artists around the world to connect to two of 300's core values: speed and flexibility.”
“We don't just see this as a game-changing moment for the 300,” they said three years ago. “It's a game changer for the music industry.”
