Busta Rhimes visited Tom Hardy on a movie set on Tuesday (August 6) and teased a possible collaboration with the actor.
Posting a photo with the actor and a video of them hugging on his Instagram, Rhymes wrote about how grateful he was to have met Hardy. “I keep telling you that blessings don't have, so we will never, ever stop,” he wrote. “The Incredible Tom Hardy and the Dragon, Stay tuned.”
Hardy is filming the third installment of his blockbuster Marvel franchise, titled Venom: The Last Dance. This fact has fans guessing that the rapper will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming film. The Oscar-nominated actor told BBC Radio 1 that he was inspired by the Brooklyn rapper, among others, for the voice of Venom. “I mix in a bit of Busta Rhymes, a bit of Method and Redman, a bit of James Brown and ever so slightly an element of Richard Burton,” he said.
The British actor is also a rapper on the side, where he goes by the name Frankie Pulitzer. He has been featured on a handful of Czarface tracks over the years and some of the group's songs from Good, Bad The EPs were played during his sets Venom: Let There Be Carnage. He also had his 1999 mixtape resurfaced on Bandcamp a few years ago.
As for the EP in question, Hardy appears on the tracks “Today's Special” and “Klyntar Czar. Frankie Pulitzer, who also goes by the alias Face Puller, opens the latter with the lines “Believe in my anger and aggression/Me and CZARFACE will make a dangerous connection/I suggest you take your money to pay for your protection/I enter the party armed with a sword.”
Who knew Tom Hardy owned bars like this?
Let's hope Busta traded a cameo in the new Venom movie for a Face Puller guest verse on his upcoming album Blockbustawhich is expected to be released on November 24.
