School of Song, the online platform that offers songwriting workshops and community workshops with famous musicians, has announced that Brian Eno will host their program in January. The workshop includes four lectures, hour-long questions and answers, and a live in-class writing exercise, with topics ranging from Oblique Strategies to Avant Gardening and beyond. The program costs $160 and the registration deadline is January 4th.
The course description for Brian Eno's School of Song promises to guide students in his relationship to the creative process by sharing techniques and practices he has developed throughout his career. “I'm looking forward to the opportunity to properly articulate some ideas about the creative process that's been brewing for the last 50 years,” he added. “To be able to do this with some fresh young minds and imaginations was an opportunity I couldn't turn down.”
Eno's latest solo album, ForeverAndEverNoMorereleased in 2022. In the years since, he has collaborated with Fred Again. Secret Lifereleased it Small Craft EP and the collaborative live album Sushi! Roti! Reibekuchen!and collaborated with Hot Chip, Goddess and Jean-Michel Jarre on songs.
