Freshly reunited feminist punk rockers Bratmobile celebrate their comeback by reissuing two old albums: 2000's Ladies, women and girls and of 2002 The girls are busy. The newly remastered reissues mark the first time these records will be available on vinyl and CD since their original release. Both are due to arrive on October 25 via Kill Rock Stars.
“We are so excited to have these records re-pressed with new mastering,” Bratmobile said in a joint statement. “They reflect a moment in time for our band that was very special and we hope people get a chance to hear them with fresh ears and connect with the ideas that are still relevant today.”
This weekend, Bratmobile will appear at Pitchfork Music Festival with a special lineup. Feminist punk singer Allison Wolfe and drummer Molly Neuman are joined by Rose Melberg (of Tiger Trap and the Softies) on guitar, Audrey Marrs of Mocket on keyboards and Marty Key (of Ted Leo & the Pharmacists) on bass.
