Boosie BadAzz cut his ankle monitor in a celebratory video as he waits to see if his federal charges will be dismissed.
Boosie BadAzz removes his ankle monitor
On Tuesday (June 25), a video shared by friend Boosie on Instagram showed the rapper dramatically removing his ankle monitor before jumping into a pool. “MY DY said my charges are terminated and I can cut off my ankle monitor,” Bushy yelled with a smile on his face before ripping it off his ankle. Cheers go up from all over Boosie as he dives in.
However, court documents obtained by XXL on Tuesday (June 25), show that Boosie's claim isn't entirely accurate. His attorney, Megan Blanco, did file a motion to dismiss his charges in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, but the court has yet to respond to Blanco's request. But District Judge Cathy A. Bencivengo allowed Boosie to remove his ankle monitor, so there's still cause for celebration.
“Mr. Hatch's ankle monitor status was removed yesterday,” Blanco said in a statement. XXL. “His case is still pending, but we have filed motions to dismiss, which we expect the Court to rule on shortly.”
